The new development at Picket Twenty has been under
development for a few years now and is growing steadily. There are a variety of properties available
from flats to 5 bedroom houses. A smart
community centre has been provided by Test Valley Borough Council and is run by
a group of local volunteers for local events and can be hired for private
use. It’s a great facility, all of which
helps to build a real community spirit for the area. Picket Twenty also has a church backed
primary school call Pilgrims Cross.
As with most new
build properties they take a very small amount of time to let with close
proximity to the A303 only adding to the attraction of the area. A three bedroom townhouse can be bought for
around £270,000 and achieve a rental income of around £1200pcm giving a yield
of around 5.3% which is quite respectable for houses in the Andover area.
Two bedroom coach
houses can be purchased for around £160,000 and will generally let for around
the £850pcm mark achieving an even better yield of around 6.3% per year.
This development is
proving more and more popular with tenants giving Landlord the peace of mind
that void periods are likely to be minimal.
